Nick Schleich (b. 1989) was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. His work has become a snapshot into his subconscious at a specific point in time. They are a visual journal of his personal journey and evolution. He has always possessed an intense desire and need to improvise. His receptiveness to change and "the unknown" allows the figures and words to flow freely and intuitively. He chooses to use acrylic paint because it dries quickly and creates a sense of urgency- leading to more genuine, raw happenings. By submitting fully to the subconscious mind there is an authenticity in the words, shapes, and figures that appear in the works. They are not pre-meditated. Rather, it is an unedited flow of his innermost being. His work explores a variety of themes including: pop culture, self-reflection, emotion, and social interaction.

He has been greatly influenced by international travel, having been to over forty countries. His interest in photography was born in the travel environment. Using only a digital camera and shooting street-style photos he has created numerous series from multiple countries. He is represented by Cerbera Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri, for his photography.

He has donated his work to a number of non-profit organizations including The Center For People In Need. Nick continues to explore the world around him and document its resonance within the psyche through his artwork
